Question Do I need to update the bios on an Asus B450-f

I am in the middle of buying my new computer parts and I am pairing an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with an Asus ROG Strix B450-F motherboard.
As of March 2020, will I need to update the bios to use this cpu or will it come pre-updated?

Difficult to say although your best bet would be to contact the retailer (Newegg, Amazon, etc).

Impossible to say until you actually receive the board. You have no idea how long something has been sitting in their warehouse.

3600X will be supported by Bios version 2301 and all versions after that. 2301 was probably released around April 2019 so there is a less possibility that you will get that old board in March 2020.

Also you can check the bios version on board even without opening board. Search it on Asus website and you will get info. about how to do it?
