Do I need to upgrade? Is this a good upgrade option?

The big two questions!

1) Do I need to upgrade anything, majorly?
2) Would a Asus AMD Radeon HD 7970 be a good upgrade option for my rig?

My current specs:

AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition CPU
AMD M5A78L/USB3 Motherboard
nVidia GTX 550TI Graphics Card
8GB RAM
250GB HDD

I play all games. Mainly BF3, COD, Crysis, Skyrim, RPGs, Fallout, Far Cry 3. Mostly all the latest games to be quite honest. I'd say around £400.
