Do I need to upgrade my 7950 for the new games of this year? If so should I crossfire 7950's or go for something else?

So I have a decent rig with a 750W power supply but when I built it at Christmas I re-used my 7950. With the new games like witcher 3 or watch dogs will my graphic card be able to run these games a high performance or will I need to upgrade them? I have heard from other sources that I should cross-fire 7950's for better performance but I have heard bad things like microstuddering or instability. Would cross-firing be worth the hassle or should I just upgrade. I only have about 500$ set aside but I also am going to use that to purchase new games this year so I want to go with a cheaper option but if getting a new card like a r9 290 would be a major upgrade I would be willing to get it

Agree with the others, you'd be best off holding on to your cash, the 7950 is still more than capable at 1080 res although I find mine is no fan of Anti Aliasing!
Depending on exactly which card you have and its clock speeds you may get better value out of a improved cooler and a little overclock.
You don't really need to get a HD7950 for CF, the R9 280 will crossfire with a HD7950 and the newer card will be easier to find, and, quite possibly, less expensive than a HD7950.
Oh I was just wondering if the games that will be coming out soon will still be able to run fairly well with just a 7950? Would it be beneficial to just save more and wait till black friday in November or something like that?

The smart move would be to save more. You'll be better off the longer you wait "imo".

**If you get a game that you really feel like you need more GPU for, you'll have the money there waiting on whatever is the best option atm... I personally wouldn't go Xfire, but that's just me.
