[SOLVED] Do I need to upgrade my CPU?

Hi there, this is my first time posting and I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a little bit of a hardware questions that I have.

My PC specs are currently:

• CPU: i7-950 @ 3.07GHz (runs a little over that at times thought)
• 12 GB of ram
• MSI GTX 1660 Super 6 GB (I just bought this to upgrade from my GTX 1050 Ti)

I mainly use this PC for casual web browsing, media, music composition, and gaming. I was curious if you guys (who are more knowledgeable than I am) think my CPU is going to hold back the power and capabilities of my newly acquired GPU. I can't afford to upgrade this CPU right now since I just spent my money on the 1660 super (unless someone wants to trade for my 1050 ti hahaha just kidding). But if you think it is going to result in a serious bottle necking incident, then I can look into saving up some money and upgrading my i7 950 in the future. Thanks again for any help that you can provide.

Are you unhappy with the performance in your games? Are your games maxing out either cpu or gpu?

While a cpu upgrade might result in more FPS if you are happy with performance then it doesn’t matter.

It shouldn't change much. You can always try overclocking it a little if your games are lagging because of it.
