Question Do i need to upgrade the power suply if i want to upgrade a laptop???

i have an i5 procesor with 2 cores and i want to upgrade to one with 6 cores can i do that without upgrading the power suply (on a laptop)

It's unlikely you'd be able to upgrade the processor on the laptop, but even if you could, you likely couldn't upgrade the power supply as well. IF you are able to upgrade the processor (it's not soldered to the motherboard), you would need to find one that is both compatible with your motherboard as well as having the same TDP as your current processor.
