Do I need two routers? One wifi and one not?

I have a 2 story home with an unfinished basement. I have a large lot and would like my wifi to reach as far as possible. Currently the internet comes in the basement my modem and wifi router are in the basement.

The question is I have Ethernet cables run from the router in the basement to various locations in the house mostly for direct connections for Apple TVs. I would like to use one of the Ethernet cables to run a wifi router on the second floor to maximize my wifi signal. What would I put in place of my exsisting wifi router in the basement to allow to connect to all of my Ethernet cables?

Solution
You ideally need a router in the basement to connect your incoming line to your home network then either use the switch ports on the back of the router to connect all your rooms and an access point where ever else you need wifi It does make the wifi in the basement redundant. Modem/router-----Switch----Hosts/Access points.
