Do I not have enough power for my GTX 1080?

Previously had a 1060 which had 8 pins

The 1080 duke has 8 pins + 6 pins

My PCI-E only has 8 pins

Help?

You need psu with at least a second 6+2 (8pin). For a gtx1080 that's usually a quality 550w - 650w psu.

And? Wattage doesn't mean it'll have the right connectors, especially if it's an older PSU.

Karadjgne is right, you'll need a better PSU that has the proper connections.

There should be a sticker on the power supply somewhere that has the name.

I have a meshify c case, dunno how to get to the PSU?

Looking at the front of the case, remove the right hand panel cover (that's the one in back of the motherboard). Psu should be visible.

As said, it's possible that there is extra wires still under there, if the psu has removable wires, they should have been given to you when you got the pc. Normally, with a 600w psu there should be at least 1 extra 6pin pcie, but I've seen 750w units that only have 1x 6pin pcie.

Opening the other side reveals it’s a CX600 by Corsair. we found the other PCI-E too in there. Cheers
