Do i Really need a Full tower case?

Soon i'm upgrading my pc case and my cpu cooling. My PC specs are,

I7 7700k
Gigabyte GA-Z270-Gaming K3
1060 3gb ARMOR OC

I'm getting the beQuiet Dark Rock 3 cooling and I'm deciding which PC case I should get. I was considering the Nzxt Elite S340 and the PHANTEKS Eclipse P400S, they are both Midi Towers, but now I'm thinking if I should get a full tower. Is a Full Tower case really needed?

Nope, a good mid case (either of those are good) would be fine for the build, nice choice for a cooler.

in actuality no case is NEEDED. you can screw the system to the wall and it will work just fine. it's whatever you want. I chose a full tower 17 years ago because I decided to buy the last computer case I would ever need. its big, heavy and will survive if an earthquake knocks my house on it. INWIN q500 if your wondering.

the only requirement for the case is the equipment you want to house, an mini-ITX case will not hold an ATX motherboard.

Both work but kind of tight. The 160mm cooler only has 1mm in the Nzxt Elite S340 and it the max size for the PHANTEKS Eclipse P400S. If you want a full ATX I suggest the source 530. It supports a 183mm cooler so an extra 23mm more than those. It can support the largest Noctua D15 and Cryorig R1 coolers.

Comes in a variety of colors, is very good quality, has 165mm for coolers and cheap enough to purchase extra fans and still come our cheaper than some cases.

Doesn't look too shabby either.

I have used full cases for years, went fractal define a last we on my new build and realized how much empty space there is woth m2 and ssd drives. I say go with what ever works with your cooling needs.

I run a FD Define R5 Window. For a ATX mid tower it's pretty big inside.
