Do I really need all these x64 updates if im on an x86 machine?

i do understand the importance of updates for security reasons and things like that, i just get tired of installing microsoft updates because they take forever.

this new update is quite massive and has 30 something updates in it. however they all say updates for x64 machines. i run 64 bit W7 so does this really apply to me?
