Do I really need the extra power

I'm looking for a budget PC and I have 2 possible builds

1st one

Pentium g4560
Gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H
Avexir core series ddr4 2400mhz ram (2x4)gb
Corsair vs450 power supply
Cooler Master: MasterBox Lite 3
MSI Rx 470 4gb gaming x
Stock Intel cooler

2nd one

Ryzen r5 1500x
MSI b350 morter
Avexir core series ddr4 2400mhz ram (2x4)gb
Corsair vs450 power supply
Cooler Master: MasterBox Lite 3
MSI Rx 480 8gb gaming x
Stock and wraith spire

The 2nd one is significantly more costly than the 1st one I just play games mostly and if I get 60fps on high settings at 900p then it is fine for me.

It depends, what games do you want to run? what resolution do you want your games to run at? 1080p? 4k?

If you want to 1080p 60 FPS the first build is more than enough for it

Of course number 2 all day, but you are talking 2 builds in completely different price categories. Big questions. What are you planning to do with them, Are you gaming at 1080p, what games.

I hate to break it to you, but even in games, that Ryzen 5 is going to murder a Pentium G4560 9 times out of 10. I would not spend money in a Pentium G or i3 personally.

Also, the MSI RX 470 overclocks well and will perform like a stock 480. So on either build, I would go with a 470 over a 480 where price/performance is concerned. Much better OC headroom. And you can save some cost there without sacrificing performance.
