I leave my PC on for days sometimes even a week.

Now that i have noticed when playing games the performance reduction is insane.
I want a really in depth explanation of why this is.
Thanks.

If you want specs:

GTX 1070
i5-3570K
16 GB'S RAM

What do you refer to as "crapware" i don't have many programs on this computer i clean out my temp files regularly and i don't have malware or any viruses. So i don't know why you assumed that but ok.

Also this is not a pre-built i built this computer myself. This may sound like a dumb question to you. But i want another person's perspective?

I think you missed the wink ! there on the last line her posted.

From what I read, ( no I do not own an 10 series video card, I have no need for bleeding technology) the 10xx series performance issues are a lot to do with drivers lagging behind game development (battlefield 1 is a prime example), I would make sure oyu go the latest drivers installed on a clean install process (check the box when it shows) also make sure you defrag your drive at least once a month, games can generate a lot of links and cause "less than optimal reads causing the video card to wait for it.)

there is a lot of "crapware" that can be utilities, drivers etc.
even things like browsers consume a lot of RAM overtime. or even your games can have some leftovers after you close them.
There is always an option of "malware" that you are not aware of even if you have an antivirus.
"clean" windows can run for weeks without restart.
Hardware wise, there is no reason your computer can't do that.

Thanks man, so should i just DDU my drivers correct? And yeah i have been getting terrible fps in Battlefield 1 lately.

:)

it would not hurt to try a DDU , download the latest version of the driver on your desktop (save not run) from web page.
get in safe mode, ddu it reboot, let it settle down, install new driver, reboot (yes reboot)
see from there.

Alright thanks will report back when i do it. 😀

Ok i deleted the drivers through DDU in safe mode then restarted and then installed the newest driver.

When i loaded into BF1 i can't even hit 80 fps.
Before i could get like 120. 🙁
