Hi guys,
I wonder if I really need Windows 10 for gaming purposes. You know windows 10 has got a lot of problem with usb audio driver and some more with the ethernet just OS-sided not the third party driver related.

Solution
The only issue I've had is that every once in a while, the Metro tile scree will have invisible icons. It happened quite a bit when Win 10 was new, but it happens no more than once a month for the past several months (probably less). Just logging out and back in fixes that issue. Other than that, I just had to learn the new features of Win 10, and uninstall things I don't like and I'm good to go.

Eventually DX12 might force you to upgrade, but for now, DX11 is mostly better. Even those games which have higher FPS, have more stuttering issues under DX12.

No, you don't need it. But in time, Microsoft will force us to switch to w10 anyways. Plus...newer motherboards have compatibility problems with older windows versions. So I would go with Windows 10 if I were you.

Honestly, I would say go for it. Worst case scenario, you roll back to Windows 7. I know some people have issues with it, but others (like me) have not ran into those problems. I guess it's a case-by-case situation. I enjoy Windows 10, and will not go back to Windows 7. I have it on all 3 of my computers.

I am still sticking with windows 7. I do not like Windows10 and do not like that microsoft is forcing people to use it. I recently upgraded to i7-6700k + Z170 mobo and had many issues with installing windows 7 on an NVMe SSD drive. Had to slipstream usb3.0 drivers into windows 7 setup to start install on a regular SSD then had to clone it to my NVMe. However, I would do it again because I simply prefer windows 7.

Bottom line:
-No you do not have to have windows 10 if you prefer Windows 7 but the other posters have pointed out some good reasons to go W10.
-Windows 7 has issues installing on Skylake boards (and higher) and with NVMe M2 SSD's but it is possible to do workarounds and install W7 anyway.

I have windows 10 already but this system has got many problems that 7 didn't. And even worse skylake doesn't support windows 7 normally so it will be hard.
Last game I played was Gears of War 4 that forced me to install windows 10. However I think in the worst scenario I can just buy another HDD or SSD to install Windows 10 there and stick with 2 windows?

You can dual boot, but that at the same time. And it's not seamless.

Did you do an upgrade from 7 to 10? I have found that causes issues. I would recommend you do a clean windows 10 install. I personally have been running windows 10 for a while now and haven't experienced any issues that would make me want to go back to 7.
