Do I still need thermal paste?

I am building my first PC. I bought the Corsair H115i liquid CPU cooler, witch come with the thermal paste, I will be overclocking my 6700k. My question is do I still need buy my own paste? Thanks

you should be fine with the pre applied thermal paste, that is as long as you don't screw up the installation

The paste that comes preapplied isn't bad. If you're trying to squeeze out every ounce of speed in your overclock, then you might want to look at 3rd party paste.

Thanks for the reply. I got one more question, is 6700k the best gaming cpu? is there other Intel cpu you would recommend? Thanks again.

The i7-6700k seems to be the best pick since it has good single and multi threaded results. If the price of the i7 is a bit steep, which is understandable, the 6600K would be my next pick.
