I think I want to get a key for Office 2016. Professional plus seems to be the usual on offer. Thought I read that 2016 will last longer vs. Office 2019 I think, will force you to pay for a newer version in only a few years. (Using W10 Pro 64b on a home built Ryzen system.)

Is that correct? And would anyone know how long Office 2016 (Pro plus) will function before MS screws w/it?

Thank you,

Mac

Oh, I thought I'd read Office 2019 end of life was like 2023 & people were upset about how short. I use LibreOffice currently. Not interested in 365 and annual subscription, or any OneDrive storage.

Want Pro for the Access, and Publisher would be nice but I don't understand what 'plus' entails. Have to investigate thru work as I'm no longer a student. Have it on my laptop but don't know if I upg to W10 if it will hose anything.

Thanks.

Sep 2018 - Oct 2025.
7 years of actual support. Of course, it won't just quit on that date.

For future versions, 365 may be the only option. Much like Adobe is now doing with the Creative Suite. No more standalone products. $10/month.
