So my default download speed is 100kb/s, (Company : TE-Data), however, the router came with a n internet cable which i suppose is ethernet or something. i heard that it could double your internet speed? so would i expect 200kb or more? and what if my family is using the internet, could i still use the cable and get same effects?

Solution
Wired Connection - Generally Faster, More Secure and More Reliable than Wireless, but need a wired connection to all devices

Wireless Connection - Alot more convenient than wired, but not as secure and not as reliable.

But your internet speed is 100kbps? That is very slow by today's standards, so you might not notice much difference between wired and wireless connections.
Your speed is your speed. Ethernet cables only go down to 10Mbps/1,250KBps, so your cable wouldn't be throttling it to that slow of a speed in any way. Your service is probably just slow. Unless there's a problem with the cable such as damaged wires, then that could be an issue. I'd ask whoever pays the bills what package they pay for. May just be what it is.
Edit: I checked TE-Data's site, the two cheapest plans both have 1Mbps download. So 100-125KBps would be normal if you are indeed on one of those plans.

No super duper cable exists, that will give you a better internet speed.

If you are on about connecting it to your computer and then the router you use.

The speed is governed by the quality of the incoming line used for your internet service. or by what the ISP states you will get for the tier service you pay for.

By the look of it you are using an ADSL type connection.
The factors with that service, and the speed you get are down to the quality of the phone line used, it`s age.
And state.

And how far it is from the local digital equipped telephone exchange in distance of what your phone line is connected too.
Longer distances to the exchange result in lower speed`s that can be provided.

A Fiber optic internet connection suffers less from distance problems due to the fact no copper cable is used apart from the last section where it enters the residence, or subscribed property.

That`s about the whole truth of it Seemly.

So basicly internet cables won't boost up or double my internet download speed but rather make the connection more better as i understand? and XueBao61, i did not try the cable yet, so i don't know if it's gonna be slow or fast.

That rule of thumb applies to faster Internet connections. Most people's wifi speeds top out around 3-5 MB/s, while their Internet speed is around 5-10 MB/s. Switching to a wired network cable allows them to use their full Internet speed.

In your case, your Internet speed is so slow that even 15-year old wifi will give you your full Internet speed.

Wired networks are less susceptible to noise interference however. All sorts of things, from microwave ovens, to other people's wifi networks, to thunderstorms can interfere with and slow down your wifi network. Wired networks can operate up to their full speed pretty much all the time. But they cannot speed up your Internet faster than what you are paying for.
