Do laptops have a "PC Speaker/Beeper" emulation in their sound cards?

When I use BaWaMi as my synth and play an old game, the music beeps out of my speakers at 100% regardless of windows volume while the SFX is affected by windows volume. Is this sound made by an emulated PC speaker played by the main speakers? When I opened up my laptop the only speakers were the left and right ones for windows audio. The POST beeps come out of the same internal speakers as well.

Dell laptop's have a feature on their motherboard whereby the beep is integrated with the onboard sound card/speaker setup and will sound off when something is wrong with the laptop, if that doesn't happen, then you should see the LED on the CapsLock button flash in a sequence to indicate an error. That being said, make and model of your laptop?

Are you saying the beep error speakers and the windows audio speakers are the same (in a laptop)?
