I remember a high school textbook showing that CRT monitors emit radiation out the back and that that's why you shouldn't arrange seating in a circular way, is the same true of LCD monitors?

So many companies have setups where employees sit "facing each other" with the backs of their monitors touching. Can't be good if those monitors are emitting radiation.

Pretty much ALL electronic devices emit some level and type of radiation. That's just the way it is.

CRT displays are somewhat different however. Very unlikely though that the arrangement described is likely to to have any measurable effect.

The streams of electrons hitting the phosphor in the screen produce X-rays, but these are way below harmful levels.

Coils in the monitor also emit some electromagnetic radiation. Again, this is extremely low in intensity and causes no harm whatsoever.
