Do monitors play a vital role in rendering graphic card's complete efficiency?

I have R9 270X but my monitor is plain simple - Gateway KX1563 (15.6"). Should I have a big screen monitor, will the high end games work better than before like less number of FPS dropout or anything else?

Edit: Max resolution of this simple monitor is 1366*768. And I'm really a layman when it comes to HDMI and other stuff.

With a Full HD 1080p monitor ( 1920x1080 ) You will have less FPS in games because in Full HD Graphics the games are heaviest.
But you will have better display experience in Video Editting cause of resolution you will be able to manage more thinks in your screen and you will have better colors. For example a IPS monitor is perfect for you.

And dont worry, your R9 270X can play almost anything in Ultra Graphics at 60 FPS

I feel glad to know my graphic card is a beast :D and by the way, what is an IPS monitor?

Edit: And I would have less FPS for full HD? So, does it mean that stuttering occurs often?

performance is related to resolution. Higher resolutions have more pixels which mean FPS will go down. Doing to 1080p is twice the number of pixels so you need faster GPUs and more memory for high res displays.

Of course it will look better and refresh rate,contrast,color accuracy and panel type all also affect that. But it can't make it run better. The exception to this would be free sync/gsync monitors but free sync isn't really in use and gsync is nvidia only and expensive

Here's my computer build:

FX 6300 -> Processor
R9 270x -> Graphic card
M5A99FX Pro R2.0 -> Mobo

Can you please suggest me a good monitor then?

IPS is new panel like LED,LCD,Amoled etc.
IPS monitor is the best if you want them for video editting and 3D because is the best monitos in Colors.
But pro gamers doesnt need them. They will take something like mine. I Have a AOC LED G2460PQU and a IPS Monitor HP 23xi. The AOC monitor is 150$ more expensive but it doesnt have better colors from my IPS.
I use the HP monitor for 3D Rendering and video editting. And my AOC for gaming.

P.S. IPS monitor is not "perfects" for gaming because they doesnt have huge hz ratio ( like 120hz-144hz ) they have 60hz and they dont have maximun respond time ( The gaming monitor have 1ms, IPS monitor have ~5ms )

Sadly, I don't see any monitor like that in my region. Any other monitors you've got in your list (as per my budget)?

Edit: I tried searching out the same monitors that you use, in google and the results are same.

awwww :(
It's okay. I will check on my budget later (by next month - first week) and will post a thread again for buying a new monitor that would suit my needs yet in the meantime, let me look out for REFURBISHED IPS monitors in my region but is it safe to use?

Awesome! Wish you were a beer :p Let me check the same devices out in other search engines for knowing the price difference.

I am just little bit confused in here. Is it okay to go with your list or should I wait, save bucks and buy IPS-based monitors later? All I need is some improvements from the current monitor I have. If I go with IPS-based ones, what would be the advantage when compared to your present list?

I'm really sorry if I'm putting you through lot of questions because I still need to learn these.

If you take a Full HD monitor you will see huuuuuuuuuuuuuge improve from your monitor.
Just take a 20+ or if you can save some money go for the 22"
You dont have to pay more for a IPS is not worth the 50$+

A big 'shout-out' for your help. I will buy a new one from the above list by next month.
