Do most printers use ink when turning them on and off?

I am wondering if most printers use ink when you turn them on and off all the time. By the way, I have a Epson Stylus C88+

No. Unless it is defective or designed to use ink as a power source instead of electricity.

I have heard that some printers waste ink each time you turn them on, because the printers clean itself or something.
