Do motherboard limit ram clock speed?

For Christmas i'll be getting a bundle that has an i7700 and a Gigabyte H110M-S2H. I read the specs of the motherboard and it says "Support for DDR4 2400/2133 MHz memory modules". Does this mean if I get 2666Mhz ram it wont go to that speed?

You should get a Z270, H270, or B250 mobo for that CPU. Since it's a Kaby Lake

H110 will need a BIOS update to support that Kaby Lake CPU. And you'll have to buy a Skylake CPU to do it

Why would they put that cpu and that motherboard together in a bundle if it wouldnt turn on?..It says you just have to put it in your case and you can play...

Ahhhh on one of the bullet points it says " Prebuilt and configured. Just Install into your PC Case and away you go!". If it says prebuilt and configured they must have updated bios right?

Think I found it. "Assembled and tested by our technical team, the CPU, cooler, motherboard and memory are assembled with BIOS settings configured ready to be installed into a case." So this means they have already done everything i'm assuming?
