From what I understand, it is best to get modules that are of the same speed and timing. Speed can be underclocked by the motherboard, same as timings, but as not all modules are tested on all timings it could cause problems.
So, my question is, is this rule true for every individual channel, or for all of the modules as a whole?
That is, can I use 2 modules of timing A on one channel and 2 modules of timing B on the other and have all of them run on their natural timings, or would the motherboard underclock the other channel too?
