Do new updates replace old ones?

I am a user that probably doesn't want anything done automatically without my knowledge at all, so I disabled Windows 10 automatic updates service and prevented it completely from downloading anything at all. Now, I've missed a few updates. I wanted to download the updates manually on my own through http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx , and I have a question:

Do I have to download every single update that has been released since the last update I have on my computer? Or by downloading the latest update corresponding to my windows build I'm safe to go ahead and download that, and it would cover all what came before?

TL;DR Do newer windows updates include older ones?

Are you sure all of them are cumulative? Not just he ones named 'cumulative update'? If so, much thanks!
