Hi All,

I have some issues with connecting my new set-up, in particular with connecting the Graphics card to the Corsair RM550X PSU after having already installed the motherboard and cpu (1 x 24-pin ATX 12V power connector 1 x 8-pin ATX 12V power connector).

More precisly, the graphics card has the following connection: 8-pin X2 whilst none of the remaining cables seem to do the trick,

whereas the Corsair delivered the following cables:

FDD Adapter (+100mm)cable count
ATX connector 20+4 pin (610mm)1
4+4 pin EPS12V (650mm)2
6+2 pin PCIe (600mm+150mm)1
SATA (520mm+110mm+110mm)2
Four-pin Molex (450mm+100mm+100mm+100mm)1

Is there a way to use the remaining cables after having connected the motherboard or do I need to buy some additional ones?

Apoligies for this NOOB question at it has been ages since I installed my last computer and despite having searched extensively had not find an answer to my question.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600
Motherboard: MSI B450M MORTAR
Graphics card: RXT 2070 Super (JS) 8-pin X2
PSU: Corsair RM550x

Hi Guys,

With apologies for this noob question in advance (it has been a while since I build my own PC), I have issues fitting in my graphics card to the power supply with the delivered PSU cables after having already installed the CPU and motherboard. Am I missing something here or are the right cables not delivered needing me to buy additional ones?

PSU and Cable Count
ATX connector 20+4 pin (610mm) 1
4+4 pin EPS12V (650mm) 2
6+2 pin PCIe (600mm+150mm) 1
SATA (520mm+110mm+110mm) 2
Four-pin Molex (450mm+100mm+100mm+100mm) 1
FDD Adapter (+100mm) 1

6+2 pin PCIe (600mm+150mm) 1
I would think the cable with the 6+2 pin also has another identical connector juat down the wire.

My cx550 has 2x8 pins. I dont see why a rmx550 wouldnt.

It does. That's why "600mm + 150mm" means. There's one PCIe power connector 600mm from the end of the cable, then another one 150mm after that.

OP: Can you not FIND the cable or are you not able to plug it in?
