Question Do other GPUs become cheaper after the latest release of the newest one?

There is absolutely no way Nvidia is going to lower its price, seeing what has been done to the 30 series. AMD however loves cutting prices, as seen with RX 6000 and also the 7900s. 4070 Ti is likely to stay at its price right now for a long time, since the market is recovering.

Specificalli, I intend to buy RTX 4070 TI. Will it become cheaper after or on April 13th, release date of rtx 4070?
No. Cards usually get their biggest price drops when the next generation of cards comes out. However, nVidia has stopped even doing that (which is why I hate nVidia). The idea that nVidia would drop the price of a higher-tier card because they released a lower-tier card would be considered laughable at best.

The reality of the situation is this:

Like it or not, if you must have a GeForce card (for whatever reason) you're going to get horribly fleeced.

If you don't care what it costs, if you don't care about value or you're an nVidia fanboy, then sure, get the RTX 4070 Ti. Just don't expect that the price of the card will drop (like, AT ALL) in the next three years.

I say this because the RTX 30-series cards have still not managed to reach MSRP almost three years after they were launched. Don't expect AMD to help you either because they're sick and tired of getting nVidia to lower prices and not getting rewarded for their efforts. AMD knows that consumers (like you) will just buy the RTX 4070 Ti at a lower price if nVidia is forced to drop that price so why would they bother? Consumers (like you) who are perfectly happy to buy GeForce cards even when they're a bad deal are so numerous that AMD knows dropping its prices won't help its sales numbers, it will only help nVidia's.

Everybody is getting smacked in the face by the consequences of being willing to buy GeForce cards no matter what. The practice is selfish, stupid and has resulted in the current GPU market situation.

If you truly want a bad deal like the RTX 4070 Ti, you're just going to have to cough up the money, end of story.

The only time current generation graphics cards, or heck, current generation parts in general, get a drop in their price is when:
  • The next generation is about to drop or has dropped. Though the price drop is typically the street price set by the stores and they're trying to get rid of stock.
  • The company is trying to encourage sales of the product by increasing the value proposition
    • If we looked at AMD, they had an MSRP drop across the RX 6000 line back in September 2022, likely to steal thunder away from NVIDIA's imminent launch of the RTX 40 series. However if you have a look at Steam's Hardware Survey at the time (and yes, this isn't the end-all-be-all of every gaming PC configuration but there's no other data like it in a convenient package), we can see the first RX 6000 card to even show up on the list is beaten by the RTX 3080 Ti in terms of ownership. Note this price drop was almost 2 years into the generation's time
    • Intel dropped the MSRP of their Arc video cards (or at least the A750) within 4 months
