Do prebuilt desktops have video card slots ?

I just want a pic and better graphics not for major gaming just light gams I'm wanting a. Nvidea caard but I just order this prebuilt Acer Desktop Computer Aspire ATC-780A-UR11 Intel Core i5 6th Gen 6400 (2.7 GHz) 8 GB DDR4 1 TB HDD Intel HD Graphics 530 Windows 10 Home 64-Bit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=83-101-453 . But it doesn't list a motherboard can it run a dedicated gpu?

The listed pc shows a x16 expansion slot and a 300w psu.
You should be good for a card as strong as a GTX750ti that does not need a 6 pin power adapter.

Past that, you are looking at a psu replacement.

I do see slots in the case to insert a graphics card if you rotate the case on newegg.

The motherboard has a pci-express x16 to use so you should almost be good to go.

The only problem I see is the 300 watt power supply.

You may be limited to a Nvidia 1050 or 1060 with that low of a power supply.

Is there a reason you picked this computer?

I guess the question is:

What games are you going to play and at what resolution?

This would tell us which nvidia card you would need to achieve decent fps.

After we know that we can see if the computer's psu meets the specs.



If you are going to exchange the psu and add discrete graphics card you might as well just build it from scratch and use the parts you really want versus the cookie cutter acer builds
