[SOLVED] Do region affect internet speed

Hello, I lived in INDONESIA
In here, The internet is very slow. ( download 0,8 MB/S, upload 1,4 MB/S )
But when i went to S.korea, The internet is realy fast.
Do this because of the region where i'm using the internet?

Yes, each country and even region inside the country has different speeds, there are lots of factors involved as to why.

South Korean has some of the fastest average internet speeds in the world.
