Do SLI working between 980 strix and matrix ?

I'm a little unsure if an Asus 980 Matrix will work in SLI with an Asus 980 Strix.

Any of you know if it works or do it have to be the exact same ?

As long as they are both GTX 980 (not Ti), then yeah should work just fine.
