[SOLVED] Do the 2 TB 5400 rpm HDD perform faster than the 1 TB 5400 rpm HDDs(for laptops)?

I would like to know if the 2 TB 5400 rpm laptop HDDs perform faster than the 1 TB 5400 rpm HDDs?

I mean this for laptop HDDs!

And if they do perform fast,then how much ?As the 7200 rpm HDDs?

They perform similar. Depends on models you compare with.

Depends on the controller and the cache size, they are not designed for speed but for comfortable trade off of speed/power usage.

A 7200rpm drive will normally beat and 5400rpm regardless, but at a cost of heat/power usage and price.
