Do these components work well together?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if these components all work well together/ any better alternatives. (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1fv82)
I also would like to know if building a computer is a risky thing, (I dont want to waste all my money for no reason) as it is my first time with no experience at all. Any tips or tricks would be great and I will be using a anti static wrist strap 😀

As far as the components, everything looks good except the water cooler. The Corsair H60 does not offer enough of a cooling advantage over stock heat-sink and fan to even mess with it. If you seriously want to go water on your 1st build, stay with an all in one and maybe go to a dual radiator design like the Corsair H100i, but to be honest, still a weak cooler. With the chassis you have picked, I would look into the Swiftech h220. That is the best all in one out there, has the best all in one benchmark scores for cpu only cooling, and it is upgradable. In other words, you can add a reservoir, gpu block, etc, later without voiding the warranty. To be honest, I would leave water cooling alone, use stock heat sink and fan, and put that money into a bigger g.p.u.. Since it is your 1st build, you probably wont overclock right away anyhow, hence you wont need a watercooling set up. The only real reason to watercool is if you are going to overclock. What are you thinking for a g.p.u.?

Ahh, I see your gpu pick now, i must have missed it the 1st time i looked. Yes, that pick will work, but scratch the corsair water cooler. Seriously a waste of money. Use the money elsewhere in your build. There are plenty of videos and forums out there for 1st time builders, and yes i think you can do it no problem. Just take your time, go slow and make sure you read and re-read all instructions for every part of the build before you start building... Knowledge is king, and there is plenty of knowledge out there to be had, and you will have a successful build.. Suferbus..

nice overall build, but you should look for a cheaper cooler like CM hyper 212EVO, like Suferbus stated, H60 isn't worth the cash, you will probably get the same performance with th hyper 212 evo.

also get a cheaper case. i mean 140$ in a case? spend 40-60$ in a case and buy a powerful GPU like GTX 770. and if the budget still doesn't allow a GTX 770 you should get a cheaper mobo like Asrock Z87 extrreme 6

Thanx thesan ill look into upgrading the gpu and I'm gonna scrap the h60 water cooler and maby go for a h100 or h100i
