I work for a company that has boxes of old memory lying around. Is there a piece of hardware or even software that will tell us what it all is so we can inventory it? We need to know the size, speed, parity/non-parity...etc.

If so where can I get such a device and/or program?

thanks

There are memory tester machines, but I think they're pretty expensive. $1000-$2000 US? I don't know exact prices, but I've heard they're expensive.

The guys who buy/sell/trade ram at my local monthly computer show have them to test ram they are selling and any ram you try to sell to them. I don't know who makes them and I have no idea how much they cost.
But if you have a computer show that comes to your town or know of someone who sells ram a lot, you could see if they have one and ask where to get one of your own.

I think the place that gives away the Doc Memory testing software is actually doing it to get people to buy their testing hardware. I know nothing about it, but you might want to take a peek.
