Do they still make CPU's for the X99 chipset?

Hi there! So, currently, my computer has the I7 6900k. It's still very powerful, but i have a YouTube channel that's approaching a million subscribers, so it's more important than ever to have faster rendering times. However, it seems like X99 has kind of been left out in the cold, and I'd really like to upgrade my CPU without changing other things if i can help it. So, is X99 still being made? If not, what is the most recent CPU made for it? Thanks!

For video rendering AMD Threadripper 1950x is one hell of a CPU, Of course the i9 7980XE will beat it ever so slightly most of the time but it costs 3 times more, it just has more cores and threads.

Now as for x99, the best CPU you can get in the core series in the i7 6950x, which is not much better then what you have now, You can look into the high core count Xeon's as mentioned above but you will have to make sure you're motherboard supports it.

If you want a slight boost in performance, getting the 6900k to 4 to 4.2ghz is pretty easy and straight forward and should cut your rendering times down a little, but I do recommend that you do put the system threw its paces after and overclock to make sure temps are good and its not going...
Sounds expensive. The 6950x will have multi-core advantage of around 13%, for an outlay of around $1500/£1500. Or you could venture into the Xeon category, if your motherboard supports it (at greater cost). Suggest you post your motherboard, ram, gfx, and PSU.

The problem with that is that it's the same age as the CPU i already have. I'm looking for a newer one if they have one.

I'm personally not a fan of AMD products. Besides, if i did that, I'd have to revamp half of my build, which is the very thing i'm trying to avoid.

Then i'll just stick with what i have for awhile longer until I scrape up enough coin to get the newest Intel chipset. Thanks!
