[SOLVED] Do UK/US laptops have the same motherboard?

Hi,

I have MSI laptop with UK (style: Keyboard and power plug). However, the motherboard has stopped suddenly and seems dead (after bios and electric tests).

I managed to find a replacement but from an US version of the same laptop. Is there any problem with replacing it?

Shouldn't be any issues - The only differences in most cases (beyond regional variants in spec) should be keyboard & power adapter (and a lot of the time the adapter is the same, it's just the plug that differs).

There should be a model number somewhere on the motherboard PCB itself and, provided those match, you should be fine.

While they should be the same it's always best practice to ask the manufacturer first.
