Hey guys, my computer CPU was overheating up to 90 degrees... i had a liquid cooler and i took it into the shop and they said supposedly the fan cords were plugged in the wrong ports into my motherboard and now the CPU water cooler is broken because of it now im no expert so is this true? is it broken if its plugged into the wrong fan port into the motherboard? i thought if you plug it into the right one it would be fine and start circulating properly...
I know had to purchase a new one and its working fine but im a bit confused

thanks in advanced

Solution
Plugging the fans into the wrong place would not kill the cooler.
Chances are, the pump failed (you would have noticed the fans not working).
On cheaper CLCs the pumps tend to die at a regular rate, but some die randomly. I doubt plugging it in wrong was the cause of death.
