Hey everyone, I'm proper confused because I've done a bit of research to find out what HDD I have, they say that 3gb/s is Sata 2 and 6GB/s is Sata 3.

But My HD says: 6Gb/s @ 3Gb/s

So I can't tell which one it is because it's saying 6gbs @ 3gb/s, and not saying one or the other like 6GB/s or 3GB/s.
it's saying 6GB/s @ 3GB/s.
it hasn't given me a straight answer lol.
Here's a SS from running HWinfo64

Cheers all haha. Appreciated.

look like a sata 3 drive connecting to a sata 2 port on the motherboard
Ahh fair play man cheers for the input, i had a rough idea anyway just can never be too careful as i wanna get a new HDD.

I wouldn't stress about that either. Not many HDD's can use up all the bandwidth of a Sata2 port (yet).
Ah nice, I wanted to get a SSD, what speed or type of SSD should I get for the SATA 2 port do you know?
Should I just get a SATA 2 SSD or could i get more speed out of a SATA 3? A bit confused about it. Thankyou
