Do you know SpecTek brand ?

I have 4X256 MB DDR400 ..I wanted to know about the manufucturer .it says Micron Technology SpecTek ...is it well known brand ? is it good or crap !?

Dunno about SpecTek, but Micron is one of the largest memory manufacturers on the planet.

SpecTek is probably a name for one of their product lines.

I don't much pay attention to Micron/Crucial to be honest.

actually i do know this brand of RAM. It circulates mostly here in South East Asia. I also do have some SpekTek Memory modules in 2 of my PC's.

What im not sure is whether Spektek is related to Micron. Our category for the Spektek RAM is "generic". But in my experience, never had problems with it. As long as you dont need the performance. Although i've never really run any benchmarks on it. 😀

never thought of that... SpecTek may simply be manufacturered by Micron. In any case, anything that Micron makes (whether it's their's or not) is decent.

it probably has really high latencies though.

yes you're right ...latency in 400MHZ mode is (3-3-3-8 )
