APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: I am ready now

BUDGET RANGE: $1600

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Video, graphics and music editing, surfing the internet, general computing

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS ( I already have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit)

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com, and other sites if you experts recommend it

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Beautiful USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: Even though Intel is priced higher, I prefer it over AMD

OVERCLOCKING: Yes, but moderately as I want to avoid headaches

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1200

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: This will be my first built. I am not afraid to try my hands at it. I very much want this new system to be reliable, fast and quiet.
I want to have a big smile on my face whenever I get on this beautiful new system, with your help of course.

I already have a WD Black 1TB HD for data/backups
I would like to have 2 DVD/CD burners for easier copying, would you recommend a different brand (from the Sony above) for the 2nd drive as it may make Windows and the PC work without fuss as each drive will be using its own separate drivers? Just a thought.

Thanks for the G.Skill memory recommendation.
Regarding CUDA, my present software does not support it, but I want to be be ready for future versions that will support it.
