Do you need a Crossfire Bridge if you are running Crossfire?

My Asus Strix R9 380 doesn't have a bridge port. I'm not sure if I need a bridge or not. I called up Asus because I was a noob and I thought that you needed an SLI Bridge. I later found out that SLI is for NVIDIA cards only. But she only talked about the software. I later did some research and found out that multiple graphics cards with AMD Crossfire had used a bridge like SLI. So that really concerned me considering that my card doesn't have any slots for anything... Please someone help me understand.

Solution
Older AMD vards needed a crossfire bridge. From the 200 series up (including the 3xx) don't need a bridge anymore and do it over the PCIe bus.
As said the 200 series and up no longer need a Crossfire bridge as everything is handled via the PCIe buss. Your Asus R9 380 Strix would not need a bridge to be able to be put into Crossfire.

Just be glad it isn;t the first generation Crossfire that required one Crossfire edition card and a external dongle that connected them.

Thanks so much
