Do you need an External extra Psu cooler, if you DONT overclock?:)

Simple one guys, i never plan to OC in my life, in that case would someone need the extra Cpu coolers other than just the stock fan/heatsink that comes with modern processors?




I always buy £170+ Nvidia Cpu's whatever that current price range is each year, like i5 for now etc



Is it needed to have an external cooler if you dont OC with these types of upper end Cpu's?




Is there any down side or bad effects of using one even if you dont "really" need it? id buy one for £45 even if it only had a small bonus to what comes in stock if it lasted 5+ years or something, id not really buy a cooler yearly for £45 if it didnt really do anything though

If not overclocking the stock cooler will always work fine, only reason to get an aftermarket cooler when not overclocking is the noise.

if your not overclocking and your case vents well there is no need for anything more than the stock cpu cooler.if you want to be sure monitor your temps to make sure.

If your not overclocking , you probably don't need an aftermarket cooler , but over time then tend to get louder , so i usually install a nice budget cooler like the H7 made by Cryorig.
