Question Do you need an ssd or hard drive to use nvme m.2?

Just wondering if you can. I don't know a whole lot about nvme m.2 except that they are faster. Can an nvme m.2 be used as a windows 10 boot device and also a main storage for games and other stuff?

Older motherboards had problems with booting up from an M2
But more modern ones can easily use an M2 to boot up from and install windows on that.
The m2, is the only thing you need in a computer, because it is effectively just a hard disk

People normally have a standard hdd as well, so they can store large files on. But if you can buy a 1TB M2 then no reason why you can't put everything on it.

M.2 is a size format. About the size and shape of a stick of gum.



It is a ssd that supports either sata or pcie. pcie being the faster for sequential operations.
In random operations performance is comparable.
