Hello. Have any of you ditched partially or completely PC gaming for portable gaming? If so, what device do you prefer to play on over PC? A smartphone, switch, tablet, steam deck, laptop? Do you have your own gaming portable setup like for example a tablet connected with mouse and keyboard etc? Do you believe PCs will become obsolete and be eventually replaced in the future by mobile devices?

@TYPICALHUMAN

Please post your Discussion topics in Opinions and Experiences instead of specific categories for technical questions.

"Discussion" (versus "Question") may be a valid choice if a specific technical matter is to be discussed. Generally that would be something quantifiable and some sort of trade-off or decision is at issue.

Specific and to the point.

Not open ended as per your OP above.

Moving this thread accordingly.

Hello! I haven't completely abandoned PC gaming, but I've found myself increasingly drawn to portable gaming for its convenience. I've been using a Nintendo Switch quite a bit, especially for on-the-go gaming or when I just want to relax in a different part of the house. The versatility of being able to switch between handheld and docked mode is a big plus.

Additionally, I've set up a gaming tablet with a mouse and keyboard for a more PC-like experience on the go. It's not the same as a full-fledged gaming PC, but it's a nice compromise when I want some gaming flexibility in Paypal casino <Link redacted by Moderator>.

I don't think PCs will become obsolete anytime soon. They offer a level of power and customization that mobile devices currently can't match casino deposit ways. However, I do see mobile devices continuing to improve and potentially narrowing the gap in terms of gaming capabilities. The lines between different gaming platforms might blur, but I believe there will always be a place for dedicated gaming PCs, especially for those who want the highest level of performance and a wide range of gaming options.

I`m not some hardcore gamer, but i cannot play anything without keyboard and mouse, I did try to play with controller connected to pc but no...just cant... on mobile device i usually play only if i`m on long road in bus or taxi and some puzzle/logic games.

so PC GAMING is best for me.

in my view most like with some virtual reality devices and not just with mobile devices like smartphones or steamdeck .

I prefer console gaming above all forms ..

Ive never been a keyboard and mouse gamer ( love my controllers ) so much so i refuse to play pc games with out controller support ..

But mobile gaming is a GIANT in the industry phones and tablets are huge ..

That said i see the real future is in hand helds switch was the pioneer of the decent mobile gaming but steam deck , rog ally etc etc are taking it to much better lvls ..

Add cloud gaming and the steam library to these handhelds with the bigger screen ( over standard smart phones ) better games performance and its a true winner..

Not to mention AMD are producing APU's with better igpu's that will bring better and better graphics to handhelds

Me i still like my 55inch sony bravia , xbone series x / ps5 console gaming and controller pc gaming ..

Ive got the switch but hardly use it ( Nintendo games are to childish for me ) maybe ill buy the steam deck soon !!

maybe in 20 to 30 years ..

There are just some games that dont work with VR ..

I see the premise of the movie Ready Player One becoming a reality at some point but not for 20 to 30 years ..

Tech in general has stagnated over the years now we just put slightly better cameras in phones and slightly better gadgets in cars there is little truly innovative !!

the last 100 years have been exciting with the birth of so many things now we just seem to improve what we have already invented !!

When they make one large enough for my hands, maybe?
As is they are just too small and uncomfortable. trying to play with just my thumb/ finger tips.
Not a big guy,5'9" 155lbs but have extra large hands.
Plus the changing scroll speed for auto AIM throws timing off.
