Do you really need a 8/10-pin motherboard connector?

Where is it located? I haven't bought my motherboard yet but I said that it requires an 8-pin ATX 12V power connector.
I am not a seasoned builder since this is gonna be my first build. The motherboard that I'm gonna buy is the MSI X370 SLI Plus

Well I'm pretty stupid. I got confused cause my PSU had a 10-pin power connector. Thanks for clearing it up man! Cheers.

You have a pre made computer right?

you will not be able to use your current power supply in your new build, as mobos now have the standard 24-pin connector along with the 8-pin

Yeah I won't. But can you help me figure out where the 8 pin power connector goes in the power supply that I'm gonna buy? Does it go in the M/B or the CPU/PCI-E connectors?
Here's the link. https://seasonic.com/product/m12ii-620-evo/

the four slots between the CPU/PCI-E are for both the gpu and mobo 8-pin

What goes in to the 10-pin m/b connector? Sorry if I ask too much haha

10 pin on the 24 pin cable

the 24-pin cable has 24-pin on one side that goes to the motherboard

and has both a 10-pin and 18-pin on the other side that goes to both M/B slots on the power supply
