Do you still need 3 of the same monitors for Nvidia Surround

Hey guys! I remember watching a video a few years ago that mentioned you need 3 of the same exact monitors for triple monitor gaming. I was wondering with the new 900 series do you still need 3 of the same monitors? I wanna use 1 Asus VN247-HE TN monitor and 2 Asus VN248 HE IPS Displays in Nvidia surround. Does anyone know if anything has changed and if I can do this?

The same monitor doesn't matter at all, it just looks 1000x times better. No 2 screens are EXACTLY the same size unless they are the same model. Stands, bezels, etc, all vary and kind of look like crap with 3 monitors that don't match. Besides that, unless they all sit the same height, then moving from the center screen to the outside 2, your cursor will move up or down onto the next screen. Not good for gaming at all. It's also best to have the same for refresh rates, GTG timing, etc.

Just looked up and the first monitor is 23.6, and the other 2 you want are 23.8" so there is already something that will be off when gaming.
