Question Do you think dirty cpu pins can change something or does a cpu need all of its pins clean period

I did spoil some thermal compound on two of m'y cpu pins. Cleaned em with alcool but not to sure iff they are spotless. Was wondering, can à cpu run with pins crippled or is it impossible since à cpu might need all of its pins all thé time period. I have issues with cyber crunch sounds regularely and wondering iff its m'y hdd or possible damage to thé cpu pins.

Damaged or dirty pins and or cpu contacts could cause all kinds of different problems to no problem at all depending on what the damaged pin or contact does. I will say though sound issues are further down the list of possible problems.

now that i remember it is about my hdd and ssd. been noticing for my own eyes it is about read and write. it happends regularely every few hours.

the guy at the store told me it was about the realtek audio drivers. he said that a cpu cannot run at all with any of its pins dirty

this is half true.

varied by cpu's, but every cpu doesnt "need" every pin on it.

you can find ppl who have literally broken pins off, yet their cpu's run fine. Others works, but some things are disabled or slowed.

but it isnt something you should be doing either.
