Do you think i'll ever be able to play GTA IV on this laptop at a decent speed?

I own a HP Pavilion 15e070sl notebook, here are the specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3320M 2-60-3.20 GHz, 2 cores 4 threads
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB @975MHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3 @798MHz

edit: i mean "can i play", i know the situation it's not gonna change 😛

Solution
Yes, that should run GTA4 at an agreeable setting.

Back in 2011, I used to do a lot of gaming on my HP laptop. It came with a TK-57 1.9GHz dual core CPU and a Nvidia 8400M GS GPU with 2GB of DDR2 RAM, which is significantly slower than your system. Even then, it was able to muster 21 FPS with variable graphic settings.
Everything in a laptop is the poor cousin equivalent of what you'll get in a desktop. That's so the laptop uses stuff all power and the battery lasts longer. Your spec is about half the gaming power of a same cost desktop which would be crappy anyway.

thanks for the replies 😛 i took the risk, and it "seems" like it's working

i had some problems, i started the game a couple of times and when i got into the settings menu it was super slow, i couldn't change anything. now i tried again and (surprisingly) i managed to set the resolution at max and all the other details at the lowest and i got 25fps 😛 not bad! but from the performance test i saw that the game is using the Intel HD integrated graphics and not the Radeon card, what can i do? in the catalyst control center i assigned the game to "high performance" already :|

It is using the amd gpu, if you don't know that, you are using an amd enduro laptop which for some reason uses intel hd to display but amd to power the game

i actually tried to play the game setting the integrated gpu in the catalyst settings, and i see that it always say "intel hd graphics" but the amount of memory is different, so i was actually using my radeon card.

anyway, with medium settings i can reach 30fps with hd resolution so i'd say this was a success :) thanks to everybody
