Do you think my system should stay stable?

I just installed a Gigabyte KT600 1394 Motherboard, with an AMD 2800+ and 512MB Corsair PC3200 Latency 2 Memory. This is also running a SATA 80GB Harddrive, DVD Burner, and a Radeon 7500 Video Card. The Case has an Antec True 430W Power Supply.

The question is at stock speeds the processor is 2088Mhz running at about 43 degrees. I have changed the Front Side Bus to 173, which is putting it at an AMD 3000+ rating at 2161.86Mhz and it's running at 46 degrees.

So basically I have upped the front side bus by 7. So based on that and all my specs and temperature, don't you think this should be 100% stable and run fine?

Should run fine. Those temps are still ok but you need to monitor the temp while in gamming. Do a few PCmark tests and 3dmark test to test it out. Otherwise that should be ok. If any change is needed that would be a vcore increase of .25 if needed.

I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to the vcore. So should I go ahead and up that? What does that do exactly? I notice that it mentions 1.65V for the voltage on the chip specs, I would have to check my mobo settings. But could you shed a little more light in this area.

You should not have any problems at all... My Overclocked tbred is running at 60 Celsius for more than a year, and it never crashed!

For the Vcore, you can raise it from your BIOS, it's easy to find. It will be labeled "Vcore" or "Core Voltage", the range will be from about 1.5 to 1.8/1.9 Volts. If your PC crash in some situation raise it to 1.7 Volts. It should be enough since you do moderate overclocking.

That alteration can can either in your BIOS and/or a jumper setting. May wanna read you manual on how to adjust it. Only up the vcore if it is needed. Vcore is the juice going into the CPU. If your little jump in speed is not stable, then yes up it about .25 or watever the next setting is. 1.65v is the stock vcore setting for the barton desktop chips and some can actually do less with higher clocks too.

However, upping the vcore will result in higher cpu temps so if you are still using the stock cooling then be very observant of the temps when you up the voltage.
