Do you think this is overkill?

I just want to know if this pc might be a bit overkill.

CPU: Intel core i-7 4790k
Motherboard: Asus maximus VII GENE
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16 Gb DDR3 2400
Graphics Card: Asus Strix-GTX780-OC-6GD5 6GB 384 bit
Hard Drive: WD Black 3TB 7200 RMP
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 250GB
Power Supply: Corsair HX750 750W 80 Plus Gold Certified

the only wanna know if you will use it on heavy 3d/video rendering and store it on 3tb black

nope just gaming and writing some code mostly c++

then you are fine on i5k, 8gb of ram and upgrade to 980 then get 120 SSD and i think you will need just 1-2tb WDC blue

I'd get the 970 if I were you - it's cheaper and gets better performance than the 780.

I agree with this.Even with a 780 do i not think you need a 6gb vram version,it's more expensive and hardly necessary.
