do you use sata 3 cables on sata 3gb/s?

HI!, im codmc123. i am building a computer and im choosing my parts from pcpartpicker.com. it says that there is no problems with all of my parts but i think that there is. my motherboard is the msi-g45 that supports 6 SATA ports right, and i am pretty sure that they are SATA III 6GBs. But it's my Optical Drive that seems to be the problem because it's interface is SATA 3GBs, all of them are! so what do I do? Are there no problems?

All internal SATA cables are the same, and SATA III is backwards compatible all the way back to SATA I, so you shouldn't have a problem.

the SATA 3 cables are made to a tighter spec to support the higher bandwidth, although some SATA 2 cables are adequate, some may not be.
