DoA or Defective MoBo

So my MoBo speaker arrived earlier today and I plugged it right into the correct spot on the MoBo. I turned on my pc but no beeps at all the mobo led is on as well as all the fans on the case and components. I tried with each stick of ram and with no ram, the gpu was out for both tests and still no beeps could it be my mobo thats doa or defective?

With no RAM installed, the motherboard should beep. Sounds like a dead motherboard.

Figured should I go through Neweggs RMA process or ASUS?

If you just recently ordered it, I'd deal with Newegg.

I have had a bad CPU give me the exact same symptoms. Even with a case speaker installed, no beep at all and fans spined. Make sure the CPU power connector (4 or 8 pin) is installed.

I ordered it back in July sadly I had to do this PC one part per month.

If you have an AMD based MB, make sure that there are no bent pins on the CPU.

It may be too late to RMA it through Newegg, then. Newegg's standard policy only covers 30 days from the date of purchase for DOA hardware.

I'd give it one last look over all the connections before RMAing it through Asus, like spooky2th suggested. If you have a friend with a computer using compatible hardware, see if you can either try your processor in their computer or vice versa.

Sadly the only other PC in the house is a Walmart computer using an Intel CPU
