Dobby in SP pt2

After countless Pit runs to gain exp and hopefully (not blankin likely)
find another Stormshield, I finally decided it was time for Dobby to
continue his quest and wpd to the Frigid Highlands. Not 1 sec after we
arrived, Hassan disptched a unique pack of blood hawks and out pops a
gold collossus sword. Well, well well! A Doombringer that Dobby
greedily equipped, and cast aside his woefully inadequate cryptic
sword. We recued Anya, carefully taunting out the Gloams one by one
and dispatching the gelatinous bastards.

We made it as far as the Ancients Way, and decided to make some runs in
normal to collect some chippies to cube some runes that were clogging
the stash. On the return to Hell to collect some full rejuvs for the
Ancients battle, we forgot to switch from players 8 back to players 1.
Poor Hassan slept with the fishes not once, but three times, and it
cost me 50K per Lazurus treatment from that oh, so butch girl that
provides that service in the Rogue camp.

Now fully stocked with Welch's grape juice, (or Ribena for you Brits)
we will take on the Mountain trio tonight.

Thanks for the note, misfit. I misspoke earlier, it was a gold
champion sword, not a collossus sword.

Ahh, I was so excited I missed the reference to a Doombringer. Still, a very
nice sword. CTC weaken and LL? Actually, arguably a better sword than a
Grandfather. It's a lot faster (-10 compared to 5) and has the
above-mentioned mods (just looked it up now, one of my characters has a barb
merc using one) 40% bonus to AR and 20% bonus to life with pretty big
damage. Sounds better than a Grandfather to me, the increased speed would
probably make up for the damage difference. Usable 12 levels earlier than
the GF too.

I've never equipped a Grandfather, but a Concentrate Barb with 300 Vit, a
Doombringer, and a Stormshield is just about unkillable, except for IM (as
per 1.09 at least). If I had a Stormshield I'd certainly be up for building
another one of those.


short - add on a lvl 25 or so BO to that too
