[SOLVED] Dock

Sometimes when an icon in the dock goes poof in smoke is there anyway to retrieve it back at all? thanks

All you have to do is open the Applications folder in Finder and simply drag the application you want back on the dock... this way you can customize the dock with the applications YOU use the most...

Thanks When you do this the words applications appear next to the folder and than you drag the app into the dock right?

I am not sure I understand your question...
Just open your Applications folder in finder, grab and hold the specific application you want and drag to the dock(I am dragging VMWare Fusion)... see below:

And here it is all set on the Dock...

Thanks i meant the whole applications folder.I know what to do now. You have to wait for the small space to open up and than drop the folder.I was not doing that.marv
